Welcome, Sippers!
Hi there! Before you dip into our blends and ideas, we’ve brewed up this Terms page to make sure we’re on the same page, warm cup in hand. These terms explain how our site works, what we ask from you while you're here, and a few rules to keep everything steeped in good vibes.
Reading all of this might not be as exciting as trying out a new tea infusion, but we promise we’ll keep things as clear and light as a chamomile breeze. By using our website (that’s your-cup-of-tea.com), you’re saying you understand and agree with what you’ll find below. So grab a brew, get comfy, and let’s get into it.
Who We Are
We’re your-cup-of-tea.com, an online tea space built for the curious, the creative, and the cozy-hearted. Our main mission? To share weirdly wonderful, delightfully different tea recipes that make you smile while steeping. Our content comes from passionate sippers who blend ideas, not just leaves.
This website is run by Eliza Fern, a big fan of putting fun twists on familiar herbs, flowers, roots, and more. Each blend shared here has been tried, tweaked, sipped, and often spilled on a notepad somewhere in the process.
What You Can Do
Here’s what you’re welcome to enjoy on our site:
- Read, sip, and enjoy our tea posts.
- Use our ideas at home for your own brews.
- Share links to our site with friends who might love a ginger-lavender afternoon hug in a cup.
- Chat with us via our contact page.
- Send us your own steeped creations (we love hearing from fellow leaf lovers!).
What You Can’t Do
We keep this kettle clean. Here are a few things that won’t fly:
- Don’t copy, repost, or repackage our content without asking. That includes recipes, words, pictures, and anything else from our site.
- Don’t sell, rent, or claim our stuff as yours.
- Don’t use our site to post anything hurtful, hateful, illegal, or spammy.
- No data mining, code tinkering, or any other behind-the-scenes monkey business.
Basically, if your action would make someone else’s experience worse or disrespect our hard work, maybe don’t do that.
Using Our Stuff (aka Copyright)
We put heart into every recipe, article, and photo. That means everything here is protected by copyright laws. When you read or see something cool, that’s for your eyes and cups only unless you get our permission first.
Want to quote us? Totally doable with credit and a link, please. Want to feature us somewhere else? Ask us! We’re pretty friendly and often say yes if you’re kind about it.
Privacy & Cookies
When you visit, our site might collect small bits of info (like cookies) so we can remember who stopped by and make things run smoother. No creepy spying, no shady selling. We might use tools that help us count visitors or see which pages get the most love, but nothing personal ever gets sold or shared.
For full details, check out our Privacy Policy. It has more info about cookies and how we sip data responsibly.
Tea Talk: Comments & Submissions
If you leave a comment or send us a recipe, you’re agreeing to keep things polite and respectful. We love hearing from visitors! But if something comes across rude, spammy, or just not in line with our community tea-party vibe, we may take it down.
When you submit a tea idea, you’re letting us share it with the world. We’ll never take credit for your brilliance, but we might want to post it, tweak it, or feature it. If that makes you nervous, drop us a message first!
Links to Other Places
Sometimes we link to other websites, maybe to show you a rare ingredient or a cute teapot. We try to link to lovely spots, but we can’t control what happens once you leave our page. So, if a linked site turns out not-so-nice, we’re not responsible for anything they do or say.
That being said, we’re always happy to hear if a link stops working or seems shady. Tell us, and we’ll check it out right away.
Our Right to Update
Tea changes with time, so do terms. We might need to freshen up this page every now and again, especially as we grow or laws shift around. If we change something big, we’ll post about it so nobody’s caught off guard.
By sticking around and using our site, you’re cool with whatever new updates steep into the mix.
No Promises, Just Tea
We do our best to keep everything here helpful, accurate, and cheerful. But sometimes mistakes happen, like a miswritten steep time or a typo in a turmeric recipe. We can’t promise perfection, but we can promise care.
Trying any tea or blend from this site is up to you. Be smart with allergies, check for health conditions, and ask a real doctor if you’re unsure about ingredients. We’re here to share ideas, not give health advice.
Age Stuff
You need to be at least 18 to browse this site. If you’re younger, please ask someone older to help out. That’s partly for legal reasons, but mostly because tea-blending sometimes involves hot water and sharp stuff. Safety first.
Ending the Sip Early
Sometimes, someone might use the site in a way that breaks these terms. If that happens, we might need to suspend access or block certain actions. Hopefully, that never happens, but we keep the right to do it if needed.
Also, if someone tries to mess with our website in a harmful or dishonest way, we’ll do what’s needed to protect it.
Limitation of Liability
Our words and blends are meant to be joyful and fun. But if something doesn’t work, or your peppermint-steeped idea causes a kettle disaster, we’re not liable for damages, spills, or misadventures.
Your use of our ideas comes with responsibility. Please stir wisely.
Third-Party Tools
We sometimes use third-party tools to keep the website humming. That could mean analytics, mailing lists, or maybe a form to submit your favorite chai twist. If you use those tools, you also agree to their terms.
They’ve got their own privacy rules and legal stuff. We try to pick tools we trust. But, again, once you click away from us, you’re in their hands.
How We Contact You
If you’ve signed up for our newsletter or reached out to us, we might email you. We won’t flood your inbox. Expect occasional sips of news, not buckets. If you don’t want them, unsubscribe anytime.
We never share your contact details without permission. That’s just good manners.
Legal Stuff & Where We Are
This website is based in Hong Kong. That means our terms follow the local laws here. If something gets legally tricky, the courts in Hong Kong will handle it.
You agree to settle any issues under that system. Not that we expect issues, we prefer tea, not drama.
We hope this page felt more like a friendly chat than a legal snoozefest. It’s here to make things clear and comfy, like your best-loved mug. If anything’s confusing, just ask us. We’re always around to explain with a smile (and probably a kettle whistling in the background).
Thanks for being part of this community. Every visit, every comment, every shared brew means a lot. So read, steep, sip, and share, all with kindness.
Cheers to that.
