Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 225 g self-raising flour
  • 100 g light brown sugar
  • 100 g dried mixed fruit
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 150 ml milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Grease and line a loaf tin.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, dried fruit, and mixed spice.
  4. Add the beaten egg and milk, and mix well.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf tin.
  6. Bake for 60 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
  7. Allow to cool in the tin for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
