Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups Milk
  • 4 bags Tea Your choice of tea
  • 4 Egg yolks
  • ½ cup Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. 1. Heat the milk in a saucepan until it’s just about to boil. Remove from heat and add the tea bags. Let steep for 10 minutes.
  2. 2. In a bowl, whisk together the egg yolks and sugar until pale and creamy.
  3. 3. Remove the tea bags from the milk and slowly pour the milk into the egg mixture, whisking constantly.
  4. 4. Pour the mixture back into the saucepan and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and coats the back of a spoon.
  5. 5. Strain the custard into a baking dish and bake at 300°F (150°C) for 30-35 minutes, or until set.
  6. 6. Let cool, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
