Main Ingredients
- 6 eggs
- 4 cups water
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon black tea leaves
- 1 stick cinnamon
- 1 piece star anise
- 1 piece orange peel
- 1 teaspoon salt
1. Boil the eggs for 10 minutes.
2. Remove eggs and cool under cold water.
3. Gently crack the eggshells all over.
4. In a pot, add water, soy sauce, tea leaves, cinnamon, star anise, orange peel, and salt. Bring to a boil.
5. Add the cracked eggs to the pot and simmer for 1 hour.
6. Let the eggs steep in the liquid for a few hours or overnight for more flavor.
