Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C).
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Gradually add milk, stirring until a soft dough forms.
  5. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead gently 8-10 times.
  6. Roll out the dough to about ½-inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.
  7. Place the biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm with butter or jam.
