Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 packet active dry yeast
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk warmed
  • ¼ cup butter melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Filling

  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup butter softened

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine 1 cup of flour, yeast, and sugar.
  2. Add warmed milk, melted butter, and salt. Mix until smooth.
  3. Gradually add remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  4. Knead the dough for about 6-8 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  5. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise until doubled, about 1 hour.
  6. Roll dough into a rectangle. Spread softened butter over the dough.
  7. Sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon evenly over the butter.
  8. Roll up the dough tightly and form into a ring. Place on a greased baking sheet.
  9. Make cuts around the ring, about 1 inch apart. Twist each section slightly to show the filling.

  11. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack.
