Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 1 cup Mochiko (sweet rice flour)
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Matcha powder
  • ¼ cup Cornstarch (for dusting)

Instructions 

  1. In a microwave-safe bowl, whisk together mochiko, sugar, water, and matcha powder until smooth.
  2. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap, leaving a small gap for steam to escape.
  3. Microwave on high for 2 minutes. Stir the mixture and microwave for another 2 minutes. Stir again and microwave for a final 2 minutes.
  4. Dust a baking dish with cornstarch. Pour the mochi mixture into the dish and spread it evenly.
  5. Let the mochi cool to room temperature. Once cooled, cut into pieces and dust with more cornstarch to prevent sticking.
