Ingredients

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Butter softened
  • 2 teaspoon Dried lavender
  • 2 Eggs large
  • ½ cup Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a cake pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the dried lavender.
  5. In another bowl, combine the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Add the flour mixture to the butter mixture alternately with the milk, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Mix until just combined.
  7. Pour the batter into the prepared cake pan and smooth the top.
  8. Bake for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  9. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
