Irish Tea Loaf Recipe (Barmbrack Style)
A traditional Irish tea loaf, also known as Barmbrack, made with tea-soaked dried fruits.

Main Ingredients
- 225 g Dried Mixed Fruit
- 300 ml Strong Tea cooled
- 225 g Self-Raising Flour
- 1 teaspoon Mixed Spice
- 125 g Brown Sugar
- 1 Egg beaten
1. Soak the dried mixed fruit in the cooled tea overnight.
2. Preheat the oven to 170°C (340°F). Grease and line a loaf pan.
3. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, mixed spice, and brown sugar.
4. Add the soaked fruit and any remaining tea to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
5. Stir in the beaten egg until fully combined.
6. Pour the mixture into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 90 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the center comes out clean.
8. Allow to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
