Ingredients 

Main Ingredients

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 bags black tea
  • ½ cup dark brown sugar
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter softened
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cloves
  • ¾ cup dark rum
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions 

  1. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add tea bags and steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags.
  2. Add brown sugar, butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves. Whisk until butter is melted and sugar is dissolved.
  3. Stir in rum and vanilla extract. Serve hot in mugs.
