Ingredients

  • 1 cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon Matcha powder or ground green tea leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Baking powder
  • ½ teaspoon Salt
  • ½ cup Unsalted butter softened
  • ¾ cup Sugar
  • 2 Eggs large
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ½ cup Milk

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a baking pan.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, alternating with the milk. Mix until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
  6. Bake for 30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
