Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F (220°C).
Mix currants, brown sugar, allspice, nutmeg, and melted butter in a bowl.
Roll out puff pastry and cut into 4-inch circles.
Place a spoonful of the currant mixture in the center of each circle.
Fold the edges over the filling and pinch to seal.
Place on a baking sheet, seam side down.
Brush with beaten egg white and sprinkle with granulated sugar.
Bake for 15 minutes or until golden brown.
