Easy Tea Egg Recipe (Marble Eggs)

- 6 pieces Eggs
- 4 cups Water
- ½ cup Soy Sauce
- 2 tablespoons Black Tea Leaves
- 1 piece Star Anise
- 1 stick Cinnamon
- 1 piece Orange Peel
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
1. Boil the eggs in a pot of water for 10 minutes. Remove and let cool.
2. Gently crack the eggshells all over without removing the shell.
3. In the same pot, add 4 cups of water, soy sauce, tea leaves, star anise, cinnamon, orange peel, and sugar. Bring to a boil.
4. Add the cracked eggs back into the pot and simmer for 1 hour.
5. Turn off the heat and let the eggs steep in the liquid for several hours or overnight for a stronger flavor.
