Ingredients

  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Unsalted butter, softened
  • ½ cup Powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Earl Grey tea leaves from about 4 tea bags
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a mixing bowl, cream together the butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the vanilla extract and mix until combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, Earl Grey tea leaves, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Roll out the dough on a lightly floured surface to about ¼ inch thickness. Cut into desired shapes using a cookie cutter.
  7. Place the cookies on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
