Ingredients

  • 225 g Self-raising flour
  • 55 g Butter cold and diced
  • 150 g Cheddar cheese grated
  • 150 ml Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard powder
  • 1 pinch Salt

Instructions 

  1. Preheat your oven to 220°C (200°C fan) or 425°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, mustard powder, and salt.
  3. Rub in the butter until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs.
  4. Stir in the grated cheese.
  5. Add the milk gradually to form a soft dough.
  6. Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead lightly.
  7. Roll out to about 2 cm thick and cut into rounds using a cutter.
  8. Place on a baking tray and bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown.
